Pioneering America's Energy Future
Our nation’s rapidly expanding population requires a tremendous amount of energy to survive. Fortunately, we’re standing on top of a big part of the solution – America is rich in energy from shale, and the safe extraction of this energy is bringing prosperity and security to our country.
The Department of Energy recently reported:
“More than 4 million oil and gas related wells have been drilled in the United States since development of these energy resources began nearly 150 years ago. At least 2 million of these have been hydraulically fracture-treated, and up to 95 percent of new wells drilled today are hydraulically fractured, accounting for more than 43 percent of total U.S. oil production and 67 percent of natural gas production.”
Learn why fracking offers good news for America.
America is now the world’s largest producer of oil and natural gas. Learn about the energy revolution that’s propelling us toward a brighter future.
Fracking is not new – it’s an American innovation that’s been in use for more than 60 years. Learn about the history of this pioneering technology.
Horizontal drilling. Proper well construction. Water recycling. These - and other - industry solutions minimize the environmental impact of fracking.
Fracking brings lucrative jobs and prosperity to America's small towns. The industry supports 2.1 million jobs and revitalizes local economies.
